Working in Sunshine West
Sunshine West is a mix of 1960s brick veneers on decent-sized blocks and pockets of newer townhouse development around the Sunshine Hospital precinct. The blocks off Hampshire Road and the streets feeding into the Glengala Reserve tend to be larger with established front lawns, mostly kikuyu that grows aggressively from October onward. Closer to the Kororoit Creek trail the soil is heavier and holds water, so lawns there stay greener longer but need more frequent edging to stop the grass creeping across paths. The industrial edge along Portland Road brings a few commercial frontages that need regular tidy-ups. Nature strips throughout Sunshine West are wide and mostly kikuyu, and they are the first thing a visitor or buyer notices, so keeping them sharp matters.
Sunshine West FAQs
Yes. A lot of the original blocks here are 600 square metres plus, and we price on the actual yard size, not a flat rate. Send through a couple of photos and you get a fixed number back the same day.
We do. Regular mowing, edging and litter pickup for small commercial sites is part of what we offer, and we can schedule it outside business hours if noise or car parks are an issue.
Most lawns here are kikuyu and need a cut every 10 to 14 days through the peak growing season. We will set up a schedule that keeps the lawn looking sharp without paying for visits you do not need.
